Well it has nearly been a week and we have survived! My son has phoned most days and it has been good to hear that he is settling into his new 'home'! He has learned a lot and is doing well!
The little one is really missing him - which has been hard. The house has been so quiet! On the upside we have been able to choose our own TV programmes - which is something of a novelty!
We had a letter from him today which is great - well, it wasn't actually for me it was for the little one (because he never gets his own post!) I'm so pleased the Army is teaching the lost art of writing letters. In this technological age with texts and emails the skill of letter writing seems to have been mostly forgotten and it is a great pity.... Rant over!
I met another Mum this week whose son also started at Harrogate last weekend - to meet someone else who is thinking and feeling the same as me is a great blessing - a reason to be grateful for the internet!
We are counting down to the 'passing in' parade - only just over a month to go!
